Circus Sessions

Creatures - Circus Sessions

Produced by Femmes de Feu and Toronto Centre for the Arts. Circus Sessions brought artists from around the world to participate in a creative week led by director, Monica Dottor. Amongst a full length production, the Creatures trio rope piece is a tri-continental collaboration between Grace Law (AUS), Celeste Bliss (USA) and Leïla Maillard (CHE). It is inspired by the urgency of climate change; the forest soundscape transforms as the creatures explore and react.

Lord Mayor's Young & Emerging Fellowship

Thank you to the Brisbane City Council, Queensland, Australia. Grace was awarded the fellowship for 2017-18 and the first ever circus aerialist to be given this honour. The fellowship supports young artists and enriches the Brisbane arts community through international professional development. This funded Grace to complete a year of intense development in Montreal, Canada, giving access to some of the world's best coaches in her field.

Enjoy the videos below for a taste of my year of training in Montreal. The first is training footage working towards a new act and the second is an introduction to some of my fantastic coaches and the work we did together.
